Getting Married in Las Vegas?
July 16, 2004
When I was looking for a place to get married in Las Vegas I went to almost every single wedding chapel on the strip. I went to the ones in and out of the hotels. I finally found one that was sure to make my day special. We chose the Canterbury Wedding Chapel at the Excalibur Hotel. Now I know what you are thinking, the Excalibur is the ultimate in cheese, and I admit I didnt even wanna go in and see what the chapel was like. To my surprise this was one of the NICEST wedding chapels on the strip. The inside looks like a beautiful cathedral and has a wonderful large chandelier. They have 2 chapels, a small and a larger one….if its available request the large one it is nicer. We had a small wedding group and they still let us use it, so dont be afraid to ask. The flowers that came with our package were beautiful! The minister was wonderful, and had a wonderful speech(at first we were a little thrown off by his red robe, but it wasnt bad, just different). The photos turned out great and so did the video. If you are looking for a classy wedding in Vegas at an affordable price, make sure and check out the Canterbury Wedding Chapel. If you are looking for something a little more grand, try getting married at the bottom of the grand canyon. Paradise Found Tours offers Grand Canyon wedding packages.
One note, if you are planning a reception you will want to book a restaurant or look for somewhere else, the Excalibur charges an arm and a leg to have a reception.
