We just got back from the Grand Canyon after spending a couple of nights at the Yavapai East Lodge. We were very pleased with the lodging. It was exceptionally quiet (even though we stayed on the first floor, to follow up on one of the earlier reviews). It would have been great to stay at one of the rim lodges, but the Yavapai was well-appointed and it was easy to get parking/get around by shuttle bus. The Yavapai cafeteria is actually in the main building (a five minute walk) and the food was better than expected. Staying right on the grounds was definitely the way to go, and if we returned we’d do the same again.
