We spent three nights at Yavapai East with our family of 4 (2 teenage boys) in late March this year. We were pleasantly surprised: the room was spacious, the “rollaway bed” was actually a real bed (well, a bench with a mattress that wasn’t lumpy), everything was clean and the room temperature was thermostatically controllable (which is probably an important plus in the summer). We had stayed at a Xanterra facility at Yellowstone last summer, and Yavapai was significantly better. The location of the lodge was also very convenient - with shops and cafeteria within walking distance, the shuttle bus stop right in front, but nothing but peaceful woods around us. Our room faced the back, which probably made it quieter. Highly recommended!
