Grand Canyon is Beyond Imagination

September 17, 2005

Every trip I,ve taken there has started with a flight to Las Vegas, a visit to the Hoover Damn, and on to The Grand Canyon. There is lots to see in Vegas and the engineering feet of the Hoover damn is amazing, but your first expressing at the Grand Canyon is, “Oh, My God!” You see all the pictures and maybe see a show on TV, but they will never come near to actually seeing the real thing. It’s cheap to get in, and there is a free bus to take you along the side quite a few miles to see the magnificance. You can fly over in a small plane, or ride the donkeys or even ride the rapids. One of my future trips will be to fly into the canyon to see Havesu Falls and fly out again.

What I don’t like now is that it has become quite a big village, but we go directly south to Williams to stay in this small town that is on old Route 66. They also have a train that you can take from there to the Canyon.

If you would rather see the sights instead of the city, this is the place to be.

To save money in Vegas, stay at the motel 6 just 2 blocks off the main drag, and check into the bus lines and see all the FREE shows offered. I’ll be going again and again and taking others with me.
