A visit to the Grand Canyon can be a spiritual adventure as much as it is an adventuresome one. We asked our audience to share with us their favorite memories of the canyon. Here is what they had to say. My favorite Grand Canyon moment came during a trip in 1999. It was early March. I had arrived late in the afternoon and went straight to the canyon to see it at sunset with a clear sky. It was great. That evening it snowed about an inch. Well, what a difference a little snow makes. I traveled the canyon comparing different vistas. The next evening there were another 3 inches of snow. Who would have thought a few additional inches of snow would cause such a change? Shadows, textures, colors … everything was altered in various ways. Mother Nature was not done with the canyon yet. Eight more inches on the third night. It was a blizzard in Flagstaff, but the canyon showed a completely different, and almost quiet, appearance.
