I took the train in Williams. The home of the Grand Canyon Railway. I upgraded our tickets and had drinks served to us as we traveled. I really enjoyed the way the Hotel decorated for the Polar Express and how Christmas was being celebrated there in Williams. Parents and... (more...)

Grand Canyon Railway Adventure

We spent the night at the KOA campground just outside Williams, Arizona. This was a really nice campground - the kids hit the pool the second we got there and I couldn’t wait to get in the shower. The showers were very clean. The office has a well-stocked store and... (more...)

One Trip And It’s A Long Way Back

Don’t miss this Grand Canyon trail

My son and I hiked down to the bottom of the Grand Canyon last June. I agree with my son that “nothing can touch the Grand Canyon” in every respect. I would recommend taking the shuttle east to the Kaibab trailhead. You will enjoy the best vistas the Canyon can... (more...)

Loved the Grand Canyon Maswick Lodge and Colorado River Trip

I recommend staying at one of the hotels on the rim in the Park. (El Tovar is the deluxe motel on the rim, Bright Angel Lodge has rooms and cabins on the rim and then Maswick is a 3 minute walk from the rim.) We stayed at the Maswick and it was very reasonable at $75 a night.... (more...)
