I recommend staying at one of the hotels on the rim in the Park. (El Tovar is the deluxe motel on the rim, Bright Angel Lodge has rooms and cabins on the rim and then Maswick is a 3 minute walk from the rim.) We stayed at the Maswick and it was very reasonable at $75 a night.... (more...)

The El Tovar is by far one of the best restaurants we have ever been to! If you are not a guest at the hotel, you can make reservations 30 days ahead of time, which we did. The building is beautiful with much interesting history. The dining room has some great views and... (more...)
