This particular tour starts at the Arizona Memorial that holds the details of the attack on December 7th, 1941. The guide explains just what happened that allowed one hundred eighty three Japanese planes to bombard the coast line and bring about this horrific battle. This place houses a WWII Museum exhibit as well as gift shop that sells memorabilia, books and souvenirs that are dedicated to Pearl Harbor and the remembrance of the tragic events that took place.

Then you will travel to the center of the island of Oahu where the Dole Pineapple Plantation Pavilion is located. A guide will direct you through this huge farm that raises pineapples for the company. You can see the fruit growing in the fields or have a taste of Dole whip as well as the juicy and sweet fruit that is grown at this plantation.

It truly is amazing how so many of these marvelous sites can be viewed in one day on the island of Oahu. The guided tour will teach you all you need to know about Oahu’s history, the amazing plants and animals that call this place home as well as the makeup of this island chain.

On the infamous day of the Pearl Harbor attack, a warning was alarmed that gave heed of impending planes off the coast of Oahu’s very own North Shore in Kahuku. The man on duty ignored these signs thinking that a warning of this nature was our own planes. But he was wrong in this assumption. At six o’clock that morning a barrage of one hundred and eighty three Japanese fighting planes bombarded the shore line. The actual events of that horrible day were memorialized on film. Visitors can view this film while on board the Arizona Memorial.

Once the trip around the memorial is complete the tour continues to the North Shore to the very spot where it all began. Travelers will enjoy the mini coach that has reclining seats with an all around view of the surroundings. See the many wonders of this tropical paradise in style.
